First Nations Metis and Inuit (FNMI) Education Program

Aboriginal Education

Lethbridge School District No. 51, through the First Nations Metis and Inuit (FNMI) Education program, continues to assist District schools to be responsive to the needs of Aboriginal students. The FNMI program has taken a leadership role in Southern Alberta in the development of "Best Practices" in urban Aboriginal Education with its wide variety of programming and community partnerships within Lethbridge School District No. 51 schools with an increasingly culturally relevant education and learning atmosphere.
