School Assistant Principals

Lethbridge School District No. 51 is seeking five highly motivated educators who display strong leadership skills, are innovative and demonstrate collaborative decision making to become an Assistant Principal.  The candidates will need to work closely with District and school based personnel, parents and students to ensure an engaging learning environment is present for all students. 

Elementary Schools:

            Dr. Probe Elementary

            Nicholas Sheran Elementary

            Park Meadows Elementary

Middle Schools:

            G. S. Lakie Middle School

            Wilson Middle School

Educational Assistant

The Lethbridge School District No. 51 has an opening for an Educational Assistant at Winston Churchill High School. This is a team position which consists of working with several different students with a variety of severe needs.  Successful candidates will have experience with students with severe behavioural needs, personal care, and academics, as well as strong written and oral communication skills, positive attitude and outlook, and a willingness to change and adjust to meet the individual needs of students.

Educational Assistants

The Lethbridge School District No. 51 has openings for Educational Assistants for the
2009-2010 School Year. We are looking for empathetic, sensitive and patient individuals to work as part of a dynamic team to aide in the educational and social experiences of our special needs students. Applicants may work with children with severe behavioural challenges and/or severe physical disabilities at all levels kindergarten through grade 12. Applicants should be flexible and have the ability to work in a variety of settings.
Accreditation in Child and Youth Care, Special Needs Teachers Assistant, Early Childhood Education or degrees in Psychology are preferred. Experience working with students with severe behavioural and/or severe physical challenges is necessary.

Clerical Support Staff Substitutes
 
Lethbridge School District No. 51 is looking for organized, computer literate, loving, sensitive and patient individuals to work as part of a dynamic team on a casual basis within our school and district offices. The incumbents will perform a variety of clerical tasks in support of school office operations. Duties include; but are not limited to, word processing and reception services, maintaining various school and student records, operating standard office and school equipment, and assisting in organizing school events and activities.
Post-secondary education including; business/management or administrative assistant diplomas are preferred. Experience working with Microsoft Office software is necessary and applicants may be tested for proficiency. Successful applicants who are Clerical Support Staff Substitutes should be available Monday through Friday – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
