Alberta Education 21st Century Classroom Funding
In May 2008, Alberta Education announced a three-year 21st Century Classroom Funding Program for all school jurisdictions in the province. Our district schools opted to spend 80% of the three year funding in June 2008 to ensure that all classrooms are equipped with a multi-media computer, data projector, computer sound system and wireless keyboard and mouse. Over 70% of our classrooms have a SmartBoard or Smart Airliner in addition. Overall, staff and students are very happy with this investment from Alberta Education.
